Welcome to the Barrow Archaeology Group website. We are a community-led archaeology group based in South Derbyshire, dedicated to exploring, preserving, and sharing our rich local heritage.

Through regular test-pit excavations, geophysical surveys, and field research, our members work together to uncover the fascinating history buried beneath our feet. This site serves as an archive of our ongoing work, past dig reports, and educational resources. Take a look around to discover what we’ve uncovered so far!
